The Remote Alaskan Southern Gulf Coast enjoys the reputation of having some of the largest Coastal Black Bears in the World. Unlike inland bears, the Alaska Coastal Black Bear has an incredibly high protein diet. Gorging on the summer salmon runs each year allows the Alaska Coastal Black Bear to grow larger and have a much denser coat than inland bears. |

Vessel based hunting provides an extremely high opportunity rate. Hunting from a 110’ vessel base camp has its advantages and rewards. We will cruise the coastline to and from the day hunt drop-off point looking for bears near the beach in one of our auxiliary vessels. Each day of the hunt you will be dropped off in the field where the bears are prevalent with your guide for a day hunt. Unlike being dropped off at a lodge, base camp or tent, we are not confined to the same area each day. It would take six months or more to cover the area from a camp that can be covered by a vessel based hunt with the assistance of four wheelers in 7-days. |
